Eight years in SaaS product, now running IsItWorth. Bad ROI is a personal offense. I write about whether things are actually worth the money — not whether they could theoretically be useful to someone.

Why I Built This

The internet is full of product reviews. Most of them are useless.

You've seen them: "Top 10 Best [Products] of 2026!" followed by affiliate links to everything. No real analysis. No mention of when you should not buy. Just marketing disguised as journalism.

I built IsItWorth because I was tired of that. I wanted a site that answers one simple question honestly: Is this thing worth my money?

My default answer is no. You come in and prove me wrong.

How I Approach Each Review

I think like a cost-benefit analyst, not a marketer.

  • I break down pricing and hidden costs
  • I calculate time investment, not just dollar cost
  • I compare alternatives — including free ones
  • I tell you when to skip, even when recommending would pay better

Every review includes a "When It's NOT Worth It" section. That's the part most reviews conveniently leave out — and it's the most useful part.

My Editorial Standards

  1. Verdict before link — I decide what I think, then add the affiliate link if the verdict is positive. Never the other way around.
  2. Show the math — Every claim is backed by data or real-world cost calculations.
  3. The "Skip It" case always exists — Every article explains who shouldn't buy.
  4. No superlatives without proof — "Best" and "amazing" are banned here.
  5. Disclose everything — Affiliate relationships are always stated clearly.

How This Site Makes Money

Some links are affiliate links. If you click and buy, I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

My verdict is always decided before any links are added. If something isn't worth it, I say so — even when saying "buy it" would be more profitable.

The math is simple: if I mislead you once, you won't come back. My long-term credibility is worth more than any single commission.
